I’m Sifu Anthony, and I used to suffer from clinical depression, low back pain, anxiety, and chronic fatigue.

Once upon a time, I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I wanted my energy back, I was totally fed up with my back pain, and I wanted to DO something about my health.

Everything feel apart right after college. I seemed to be on a good path. My future looked bright.

I graduated Columbia University on the dean’s list. I was an accomplished violinist who attended All State, All Eastern, and All National. I had even earned a black belt in karate.

Then, suddenly, I had a health crisis.

It was as if my car, which had been reliable for years, suddenly broke down.

I was looking for something, but I wasn’t sure what what. All I knew was that I need to make BIG changes in my life.

How Everything Changed

My search for answers led me to the bookstore, a habit I learned back in the days before the internet (and before Amazon!).
I was living in Manhattan, and I had seen Chinese people practicing a beautiful, slow-motion dance in the parks.
Because I was already a black belt in karate, I knew that this was tai chi. A karate friend had told me that it was supposed to be good for healing.
So I went and bought a bunch of books on tai chi.
In these books, I read about an art that I had never heard of, an art that one author referred to as “the grandmother of tai chi.”
That’s how I first heard about qigong.
I discovered that qigong is one of the four major branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Chinese massage.
Immediately, I knew that this was what I was looking for.
I scoured all of the big bookstores in Chinatown, and bought literally every English book I could find on the subject of qigong.
My life has never been the same since.

What Should I Wear?

Just wear something comfortable. Flat-soled shoes or sneakers are recommended.

Can I Do it?

Yes. Anyone can learn qigong regardless of their fitness level or body type. The workshop is designed for all levels, so no prior experience is needed.

How Will I feel?

 You'll finish the workshop feeling AWESOME. Seriously, students always tell me that they have less pain, more energy, and that they feel ALIVE again.

When is the Workshop?

The workshop is an easy 6 hours, with plenty of breaks, including a long lunch break.

Morning session: 9am to 12pm
Afternoon session: 2pm to 5pm
